CommUNITY Skills Placement for your Organisation
Do you have a skills gap in your organisation and need help?
Turning your organisations' aspirations into reality.
Skills gaps still present a major barrier for small local charities and community organisations across Barnet, with more training still cited as a solution to the problem. What skills set do you as an organisation need?
It could be that you need help with your marketing materials, social media, fundraising, or perhaps you have a short project that you want to undertake but haven't quite got the skills to turn this into reality. In partnership with Middlesex University we are really excited to offer you the opportunity to have a paid for student placement to help you deliver your aspirations for your organisation. Middlesex University is currently in the second year of the ground-breaking Community Placement Scheme. This scheme brings together students and organisations working in Barnet by providing opportunities for students to put into practise the skills they are learning at university. In the past year this scheme has improved and transformed local schools and charities such as Finchley Progressive Synagogue, Hendon School, Somali Bravanese Welfare Association and West Hampstead Women’s Centre.
