What is Mental Health First Aid?

Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course that teaches participants how to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and the best response, on a first aid basis.

You'll learn practical things you can do to support someone experiencing mental health difficulties and find out about a wide range of support services you can signpost people to.

What will participants gain from attending?

  • Mental Health First Aid manual and  workbook.
  • MHFA certificate to confirm you are a trained Mental Health First Aider
  • Feel more confident when working with mental health
  • Have strategies to support young people

Tea/ coffee and biscuits will be available.

Lunch is not provided.

This is a 2 day course the first day starts on Monday 25th February and the second day finishes on Friday 1st March (you must attend BOTH days) from 9.15am to 5pm.
