Barnet Trustee Event

Registration is closed for this event

We look forward to welcoming you to our Barnet Trustee Event 2014.

The Trustee Week is an annual national event which takes place in November of each year and showcases the vital work of trustees.

CommUNITY Barnet is organising an event to celebrate the Week in Barnet which aims to highlight this key role and crucial aspect of charity governance. We have lined up some activities and speakers to provide a stimulating and enjoyable evening for participants. We hope participants would have strengthened their knowledge of key governance issues by the end of the evening.

It also acts to attract new people to consider volunteering their time, by highlighting opportunities for them to get involved.

If you are a trustee or interested in trusteeship, this event is a great opportunity to:

  • to learn from the expertise and experience of seasoned trustees
  • find out more  about your legal responsibilities
  • update your knowledge about trustee duties under your organisation’s constitution

Tony Vardy - Chair of  CommUNITY Barnet and Cllr David Longstaff will open the event and our speakers on the day will be:

Myles Kunzil, Governance Consultant at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations

John Barratt , Director of Operations at the Small Charities Coalition

Tom Murdoch, Senior Associate and charity lawyer at Stone King Solicitors
